THE FORMULA EXPLAINED 

Reduces Gastric Acidity – Cuttlefishbone (Hai Piao Xiao) harmonizes stomach acidity to relieve acid regurgitation, epigastric pain, and distasteful belching. 

Relieves Chest and Epigastric Pain – Corydalis (Yan Hu Suo), Peppermint (Bo He), Panax Notoginseng (San Qi / Tienchi), and Prepared Cyperus Rhizome (Zhi Xiang Fu) relieve chest and/or epigastric pain and/or distention due to blood stasis and constrained Liver Qi.  

Harmonize Middle Burner – The middle burner refers to area between the diaphragm and belly button, which contains the Spleen and Stomach that digestively churns. Patchouli (Huo Xiang) transforms dampness and harmonizes in the middle burner to relieve symptoms of vomiting, nausea, and pain or stuffiness in the chest and epigastrium. 

Clear heat and toxicity – Ovateleaf Holly Bark (Bai Lan Xiang / Jiu Bi Ying) clears heat and removes toxicity. 

Stops Bleeding – Bletilla Rhizome (Lian Zi Cao / Bai Ji) restrains leakage of blood to stop bleeding mainly from the Lungs and Stomach, which may include symptoms of vomiting or cough blood and nosebleeds 

RECOMMENDED DOSE 

Three times a day, one or two bags each time. Consistency is key! 

For ease, steep 3-6 bags in a large jug or flask and drink as part of your daily fluid intake.
