Moxibustion, also known as Moxa, is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy which consists of burning dried mugwort (moxa) on points on the body. It is used on people who have cold or stagnant conditions. It expels cold from the body and warms the meridians, promotes circulation of blood and vital energy (Qi). Used to treat muscle strain, lumbar & leg pain, cough and menstrual disorders.

Cautions: Do not use on open wounds, on skin that is red and flamed or sensitive to touch. Patients with skin allergy and too much heat in the body are not recommended to do moxibustion. Pregnant and menstrual women should avoid using moxibustion during this time.
