Benefits: It is primarily used to treat injuries from falls and blows, traumatic pain, hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal colic, jaundice-type hepatitis, enteritis, dysentery, indigestion, infantile malnutrition, hemoptysis due to pulmonary tuberculosis, bronchitis, leukopenia caused by radiation reactions, and pesticide poisoning; externally, it is used to treat dermatitis, eczema, and boils and carbuncles. It is a common folk herbal medicine in China. The whole plant is used medicinally, possessing the effects of dispelling wind and promoting blood circulation, relieving pain and swelling, and anti-tuberculosis. It is used for rheumatic pain, infantile dysentery, abdominal distension, etc.
