THE FORMULA EXPLAINED
Clear heat and toxicity – Many factors including diet, lifestyle, and emotions (anger and frustration) can negatively affect the Liver’s ability to move blood through the body. When Liver Qi stagnation occurs, heat and fire is created and toxicity may accumulate due to decreased circulatory functions. Virgate Wormwood Herb (Yin Chen), Licorice Root (Gan Cao), Canton Love Pea Vine (Ji Gu Cao), Linearstripe Rabdosia Herb (Xi Huang Cao), and Istais Root (Ban Lan Gen) clear heat and toxicity to aid in regulating Liver functions
Drain dampness – Dampness is created from a deficient Spleen where it can enter the Liver and Gallbladder channels causing Liver Qi to stagnate and therefore obstruct the flow of Liver Qi. Herbs like Licorice Root (Gan Cao), Virgate Wormwood Herb (Yin Chen), and Canton Love Pea Vine (Ji Gu Cao) works to support the Spleen and resolve dampness.
